Marketing Manager, Atlantic Station

Key Responsibilities:
- To serve as the property team’s primary resource for research and to lead marketing efforts ensuring that Jones Lang LaSalle marketing philosophy (Marketing for Leasing, Marketing for Sales, Marketing for Additional Revenue), tools and core practices are effectively implemented, providing superior client service for maximum client satisfaction. Work in collaboration with the Director of Sales to maximize sponsorship opportunities and provide exceptional event execution.
Skills & Experience Requirements:
- The Marketing Manager is overall responsible for developing and implementing the marketing programs for the retail center that are based on the center's strategic goals. The main areas of focus are Marketing for Sales, Marketing for Leasing, event and program coordination and providing support as needed for Marketing for Additional Revenue. Other responsibilities include the daily administration duties/tasks as well as financial reporting and forecasting. In addition, this position will be involved with the business analysis of retailer sales and statistical analysis. Research, public relations, media buying and analysis of results of programs are also included in the position.
Qualifications: Ideal candidate will possess a B.A. /B.S. degree in Marketing Communications or related field with at least three years in the retail arena or comparable experience. Must have experience in managing budgets and sponsorship revenue generation is a plus. Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written) and selling and negotiation skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy when interacting with others. Experience in special events coordination and management are required as well as the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Must have knowledge of retail management, marketing and advertising and a working knowledge of the media industry. Must have flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and evening. Shopping Center experience preferred but not required. CMD designation is preferred but not required.
Provide Superior Client Service
• Collaborate with property team to develop and execute comprehensive, research-based strategic planning that directs marketing efforts to enhance asset value by actively participating in the leasing process (permanent and specialty) and driving sales through targeted events and promotions
• Ensure that Jones Lang LaSalle Core Practices are followed
• Ensure the properties’ annual marketing plan is directed at achieving owner’s objectives; focused on leasing and sales; and utilizes the resources and tools available
• Monitor, control, and adjust, as appropriate, marketing budget and Additional revenue goals to meet year-end projections
• Work with Regional Marketing Manager to ensure that leasing collaterals such as fact sheets are current, complete and accurate
• Work with Regional Marketing Manager in the procurement and development of programs involving outside consultants such as public relations firms, advertising agencies and other vendors
• Communicate with the client and client relationship team members as needed or required. Elements of communication may include sales narrative, marketing for sales, marketing for leasing, and assistance in marketing for Additional revenue efforts. Share effectiveness/ results to ensure that the client and team are kept apprised of marketing activities in the property
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary to support the growth and success of the marketing efforts of the property
Leadership, Motivation and Development
• In concert with the General Manager and Director of Sales, manage property-based marketing personnel to define, track and achieve measurable goals established during budget strategy and strategic planning sessions
• Serve on Jones Lang LaSalle taskforce as assigned by Regional Marketing Manager
• Provide constructive feedback, regular coaching, and career development input throughout the year to help employees achieve performance objectives and develop their professional skills and capabilities
Retailer Development
• Review monthly sales reports to have a thorough knowledge of retailer sales and track key retailer and category trends
• Establish an ongoing partnership with tenants to maximize individual store sales through a retailer communication/sales program
• Develop and implement retailer action plans aimed at maximizing retailer sales and increasing the center’s value
• Maintain mall website, data base and email postcard program
Marketing Strategy Implementation
• Have thorough knowledge of the area market including all competitive properties, area and customer demographics and available media
• Effectively execute an advertising program to enhance tenant sales and generate percentage rent
• Coordinate special events and community relations program to support merchandising efforts to the level necessary as outlined in the strategic plan; work with retailers to involve them as appropriate; track and produce results summaries to determine impact on center traffic and sales
• Collaborate with Director of Sales and assist as needed with implementation of local and corporate sponsorship opportunities that will generate additional revenue for the property
• Develop an ongoing public relations action plan as necessary
• Coordinate ongoing research utilizing, where available, Real-Time-Research (MRSI) and Asterop to support marketing and leasing efforts
• Follow corporate policies and procedures for all programs and promotions
Customer Service
• Supervises all aspects of the gift card program
Client, Vendor and Community Relationships
• Support the property team in efforts to maintain appropriate client and tenant satisfaction ratings
• Develop and maintain an appropriate level of involvement in community activities representing property and Jones Lang LaSalle

- Coordinating reception area and incoming phone calls (high volume)
- Ensuring all clientele are greeted and made comfortable in a professional manner
- Exercising complete range of administrative and support functions in relations to the properties marketing and financials
- Communicate and provide support to all levels of staff including, General and Assistant Manager, Marketing Director, Dir. Of Partnership Marketing, Association Manager, Accountant and Operations Manager
- Updating Phone List on a monthly basis
- Updating website as directed
- Coordinating and liaising with couriers and respective companies (Keep record of all items shipped to and from office)
